A Teaching Worth Repeating
An In Person Day Long Retreat
Sunday, October 20, 2024
In the Satipatthana Sutta, the Buddha's primary teaching on Mindfulness, there are 13 separate sections of instructions. After each section there is a set of repeated instructions, called the Refrain, like the refrain in a long song with many verses. Why is this teaching repeated so many times? What is the significance of it's various parts? We will explore the Refrain in the context of a traditional Mindfulness retreat.
This retreat is open to anyone who has a sincere desire to deepen their practice and will consist of instruction, seated and walking practice, and Buddhist philosophy to put the practice into context.
