| Bell Tower: 1st Baptist Church, Boulder |
| There is a bit of serendipity involved with this painting. I'd been thinking about painting this bell tower for some time. As Ii worked on the previous painting I became fascinated with the effect of the black wires crossing in front of the tower. When I came to photograph the bell tower I found two separate places I could take photos from. One was an unobscured view. The other had the tree branches shown here. I couldn't resist. I love how the branches hanging down seem to push the tower up and back. |
