This painting is based on the thought, "What would it be like if the primary architectural and decorative motif was the hexagon". What would rooms look like? How about windows, hallways, ceremonial chambers? An immense amount of fun to draw.

I was working on this piece outside in the Wild Oats court yard as a demonstration for Open Studios. I had people come up to me and say I was doing Islamic Art, then Jewish art, and then Masonic art. It simply is what it is. It "feels" like a temple to me, hence the name.
